About:
JMA is a forward-thinking architecture practice led by James Mather. We deliver a range of projects across the UK that are rich in architecture and creative design solutions.
The services that we offer range from feasibility studies and planning applications to tender packages and monitoring construction on site, our services are tailored to the requirements of each and every project.
At JMA we have successfully delivered a range of small to medium-sized schemes from residential extensions and new build homes to industrial conversions for commercial clients.
As founder of JMA, James is an ARB registered architect with extensive experience in delivering complex residential and commercial projects. He studied at the University of Liverpool before joining PRP Architects in 2006 where he spent 15 years in both the London and Manchester offices.
Ethos:
We believe that carefully considered design at an early stage in the project has a significant impact on the lifetime economic and environmental sustainability of a scheme. the term ‘value’ underpins the concept of our design process, it encompasses not only value from a cost perspective but that of social, use, environmental and cultural value.
As built environmental professionals we have a duty to positively impact the world around us for the better. We work with our clients to deliver schemes that are responsibly designed, ones that not only deliver environmentally conscious solutions but those that prioritise the use of natural materials.
Sustain:
James is also the co-founder of Sustain, a bespoke handcrafted furniture company based in Manchester. He set up Sustain with his wife Natalie to develop their passion for beautifully crafted pieces of furniture, the company has a skilled team of joiners and finishers and undertakes commissions from dining tables and beds to kitchens and restaurants.
